Episode 33: Mindful Skincare with Caralyn Hale

I didn't really know what I was doing when it came to my skincare routine until very recently in my life.... And honestly? I have struggled in this area for YEARS. Like since I was a teen. And when I went off of hormonal birth control a few years ago, my skin erupted with hormonal cysts and other unpleasant issues that it seemed no cream, oil or facial could help.


So I turned inwards and focused on my nutrition, sleep, lowering stress levels and ditching sugars and processed foods. It has taken time, and I still deal with outbreaks around my cycle, but I’ve learned SO MUCH these last few years of self-advocating and testing / trialling different ways of eating, improving self care and HEALING.


So, when I met this week’s podcast guest, I was ELATED! Here was a holistic skin coach who was teaching the very methods I’d used to begin healing my own skin issues. We connected, chatted for hours, and this episode was born.


Caralyn Hale is a skin coach and holistic nutrition / wellness enthusiast. Her company, SkinTheory, came to fruition through her own experiences healing from chronic acne through lifestyle and wellness practices over the last 15 years. Her goal is to help you achieve your happiest skin life through personalized skin consultation and education services.



We talked about SO MANY goodies in this chat and I just KNOW you’re going to love it!

Seriously. Get out a pen and paper, this was a GOOD ONE. I personally took pages of notes while we chatted and excitedly ordered Squalane oil and a good quality SPF after our chat!
